I am by no means some huge beauty expert. However, I have owned my fair share of beauty products. Anyone close to me knows I love makeup and trying new things out. With that said I have included a list of my top 10 favorite beauty products in no particular order. I tried to include some high end and some drug store products, but as it goes I tend to like everything that's expensive (who doesn't?). These are some basic products that I use in my daily routine.
*All prices are from Ulta other than the MAC products.
1. The Pore Professional by Benefit
This is a great product to use before putting on any makeup. I use it after putting on moisturizer. It makes my skin feel so soft and my foundation blend well. I can really notice the days when I forget to use it!
$31 for .75 oz
2. MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle
This is my ALL TIME favorite highlighter. I have tried a few different ones but keep finding myself going back to this. It has a great subtle shine and sparkle and doesn't take much product to be seen. I highly suggest trying this!
$33 for .35 oz
3. Roller Lash Super Curling and Lifting Mascara by Benefit
I feel like I have always struggled to find mascaras that I like. This is usually the kind of product every girl starts with in 6th grade. So for that reason I have tried many! I'm also not one to buy expensive products when they don't last long such as mascara which dries out quickly. However, I love this mascara! I truly think it helps curl my lashes as I don't use a lash curler. It's also water resistant and doesn't come off on my face throughout the day.
$24 for .3 oz
4. Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion
I have found that putting eyeshadow on without primer just doesn't work. I've tried a few different primers and have liked some, but when it comes down to it I really like this one. I find this one doesn't crease throughout the day. It also comes in a mini size with some other Urban Decay products!
$20 for .33 oz
5. Hoola Bronzer by Benefit
In the past I never really used bronzer. However the whole contouring fad started and that's when I experimented with bronzer. I was never satisfied with the way bronzer looked on me until I tried this one! It's a very natural color and can easily be put on light or dark. I also surprisingly like the brush that comes with this product. Its great for blending!
$29 for.28 oz OR mini .14 oz for $15
6. NYX HD Concealer
I've always struggled with concealers. I never seem to find the right color for my skin and I find that throughout the day concealer easily rubs off my blemishes. I have found the to be one of the better drug-store concealers however! It also comes in many shades as well as purple, green, and yellow for color correcting.
$4.99 for .11 oz
7. Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder
This has been the only face powder I've used for years. A friend told me about it a few years ago and I've never changed! This can also be easily bought at Target or Wal-Mart so whenever I run out, I can just grab a new one. I tend to have oily skin and this powder covers well and helps with oily skin. I would suggest keeping it around throughout the day though to reapply as needed.
$4.99 for .49 oz
8. Urban Decay Naked 2 Eyeshadow Palette
I have Naked Palette's 1, 2, and 3 and have also tried out some of the other ones. In my everyday use number 2 has turned out to be my favorite. It has some neutral colors but I like it more than 1 because they aren't all browns. The expense is definitely worth it for these palettes!
$54 for 12 colors
9. Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate Moss in 08
I have so many lip products, it's crazy. By far, I use lip products the most. I get pretty picky with lipstick because most don't seem to last or look very good on my lips. However this brand and color have both been great for me. The color is a natural pink and really looks good with many skin tones.
$5.49 for .14 oz
10. MAC Pro Longwear Blush in Blush All Day
Last but certainly not least, is MAC blush. I have tried a few different kinds of blush and haven't been too picky about what I wear. However, this is the blush I use the most and the color that I think is so neutral and looks good on a wide range of people. It's more of a subtle matte color, which makes it look good with a lot of makeup looks.
$28 for .21 oz
I hope these are products you come to enjoy as well. Be looking out for a future article on my favorite beauty tools!
