This past weekend has been a huge weekend for all Disney Channel nostalgia as they kicked off the 100 Disney Channel Original Movie marathon. This marathon consists of great movies like Smart House, Halloweentown, Cheetah Girls, HSM and so many more. A lot of my personal favorites were the ones that were not as known such as Right On Track or Double Teamed. Any Disney Channel kids who decided to watch this had an extremely nostalgic weekend as they relived the movies of their childhood so here are my top 10 Disney Channel Original Movies. This was the hardest list ever because there are so many amazing movies.
1. "Stuck In The Suburbs"
This movie was genius and it had a young Taran Killam from SNL. The real question here is: How many DCOM's was Brenda Song in?
2. "Pixel perfect"
This was the perfect movie with an amazing soundtrack that I happened to own growing up. This movie was so advanced and if only we had this technology to make pop stars.
3. "High School Musical"
I believe the Second movie is so much better than the first but without the first, there would be no others. This was the start of everything.
4. "Halloweentown"
Halloweentown was so great and Kimberly J. Brown was the queen of DCOM's.
5. "Zenon"
Zenon was the true fan girl in each of us. The clothes, the hair, the set, and the music was so amazing.
6. "Camp Rock"
We were introduced to Demi Lovato who became the girl that America adores and she happens to be my idol. Once upon a time, she was just Mitchie Torres who was just stating who she was and hanging with the Jo-Bros.
7. "Right On Track"
It took me 30 minutes to find a GIF for this movie and then Tumblr came through. This is probably my favorite DCOM ever and who doesn't love a young bratty Brie Larson? Just think the little sister just won an Oscar so dreams do come true.
8. "Double Teamed"
This movie is very underrated but it's an amazing story and a pretty bomb movie. Also, I thought these girls were actually twins for so long.
9. "Cadet Kelly"
This movie made you laugh and cry until you reached the end. Hilary Duff was the queen of everything.
10. "Cheetah Girls"
We all designated ourselves and our friends as the Cheetah Girls. You made sure you got your favorite and you fought hard for that spot. (I was definitely always Dorinda.)
Special Dedication:
"Phantom Of The Megaplex"
This movie was actually terrifying to me growing up but I was obsessed with it. It deserved to have a special dedication because I have a special place for this movie in my heart.
