Here's 10 movies I will be watching this holiday season that I think you should be watching too:

1) Elf

This is my all time favorite Christmas movie EVER. It doesn't even have to be around the holiday season; I'll still watch it in the middle of July. I'm pretty sure I'm close to memorizing every single word, too. (Don't judge me)

2) A Christmas Story

From the sexy leg lamp Ralph's dad won, to the ugly Pepto Bismol pink bunny rabbit suit Ralph had to put on; there's nothing that can beat this classic.

3) Home Alone

Come on. We all secretly wanted our houses to be robbed when we were 8-years-old so we could be as cool as Kevin McCallister and outsmart stupid burglars and set up traps too...or maybe it was just me.

4) The Grinch

No, not the real life version with Jim Carrey in it. I'm talking about the old fashioned Dr. Seuss version a.k.a the BEST one.

5) Santa Claus

This used to be my all time favorite movie as a kid mainly because I wanted my dad to accidentally make Santa Claus fall off the roof and then magically become him forever so I could live at the North pole and it could be all about Christmas every single day. #goals

6) Jack Frost

In case you're wondering, I'm not talking about the creepy serial killer one from 1996. And for those who didn't know there was a creepy serial killer Jack Frost movie, there is one and I do NOT recommend it. I'm talking about the one that's kind of weird since a snowman comes to life, but the meaning behind it is special. As a child, I didn't truly grasp the concept, but now I do. And I think it's very heartwarming.

7) Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

Even though the abominable snowman scared the crap out of me, I low-key wanted Rudolph as a pet because of this movie. #imnotevenjoking

8) The Holiday

I discovered this movie early in the year on Netflix, and now it's one of my favorites! Jack Black, Kate Winslet, Cameron Diaz and Jude Law are in it as well as many other well known actors. It's the perfect Christmas rom-com if you ask me!

9) Just Friends

Okay, seeing Ryan Reynolds in a fat suit and talking like a creepy obsessed man isn't something you see every day, but it's HILARIOUS because it's so relatable. I highly recommend this one if you're feeling like watching a "stupid" but "romantic" comedy.

10) The Polar Express

And finally, this one finishes off my list. I remember watching this as a kid and hoping the train would stop at my house so I could stay up all night traveling to the North pole to see Santa Claus. *Spoiler Alert* Tom Hanks plays 3 characters in this movie which makes everything about this movie even more amazing.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
