Let's face it: breakups happens to everyone AT LEAST once in their life (though there are those mega rare couples who are so in love that they never consider separating). And when it happens, it sucks. A breakup can affect a person on different levels depending on how invested they were in the relationship and how much they cared for the other person. There are some cases when two people agree to breakup just because they know it'd be better for them both in the long run. At the time that it happens, it doesn't feel like life will get any better. A lot of tears are spilled, a lot of questions are asked, a lot is thought about, and sometimes a lot of attempts are made to "fix" the relationship only to have more rejection follow.

Though breaking up, or being broken up with, can feel really painful, rest assured that what will be, shall be and that everything will work out for the best in the end. However, even with that assurance, I know it still hurts and usually nothing can ease the pain for awhile; except for... what's that? That's right, music! In my opinion music always makes me feel better when I'm down. The key, of course, is to have the perfect song. That is why I've taken the liberty of sharing what I believe to be the top 10 Best Breakup Songs:

10. "I Don't Need A Man" - Pussycat Dolls

This is more for the ladies (or maybe all of these are?) but the title says it all, "I don't need a man." All of your happiness and success should lie within yourself.

9. "Too Little, Too Late" - JoJo

If they're trying to get you back after they've mistreated you and broke your heart repeatedly, this is the perfect song to say "this opportunity is gone." As they say, "You don't know what you've got until it's gone."

8. "Show Me Love - Sam Feldt" (EDX Remix)

This is the perfect song to get up out of that bed of tears and just dance along while belting that they've got to "Show you love" if they really want to be with you. I would have listed this one a little higher but it's relatively new, still it is a favorite.

7. "Potential Breakup Song" - Aly & AJ

Yes, I took it there. We all know that we use to dance and sing to this song at about 12 years old when life really wasn't as complicated as it is now. Nonetheless, a song from that long ago that still has the perfect message for a break up is worthy of a few listens.

6. "So What" - Pink

I absolutely love Pink. As an artist and as a person I find her very empowering which is why two of her songs made the list. As you listen to this one, just remember "So What, I'm still a rock star" because it is the truth.

5. "Survivor" - Destiny's Child

Can you say fierce? This song says it all. Rather you depended on them and invested a lot of time doesn't matter because regardless, you're going to make it; it's what survivors do.

4. "Irreplaceable" - Beyoncé

All I can say is "To the left, to the left"

3. "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)" - Pink

Here's number two from Pink. In the lyrics she sings "I think I've finally had enough." So rather your broke up with them because you had, had enough, or they broke up with you, the point is that you deserve better and they deserve a glass of wine in the face.

2. "Bulletproof" - La Roux

Here's another "go crazy and dance!" song that'll distract you from the pain. Plus, the lyrics are super relatable and have the ability to build anyone up to feel invincible.

1. "Tears" - Clean Bandit

Saving the best for last! This song is also relatively new but just listening to it once, it's clear that it's about building yourself back up after a breakup. It starts off a little slow but a minute in you'll be singing and dancing along, knowing the only person you need is you!

So there you have it. If you're going through a breakup, or even a really bad argument and need a pick me up, these are the top 10 songs to listen to. I'd suggest putting them on repeat and you'll feel better within no time!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
