To My Future Little

I can't wait much longer to be your Big!

To my future Little,

It's finally here! It's time for you to join our family and for me to be your big. I am more excited than you will ever truly know, but I am going to try to let you in a little bit to my excitement.

When I found out you were my little, I literally jumped for joy! I was so so so excited. I have such an amazing relationship with my big and I literally cannot wait any longer to have that same relationship with you.

As I get ready to do all the things that a big is supposed to do for a little prior to the reveal (lots of canvases and candy!) I think of what it means to be a big once the reveal is over. The days leading up to the reveal are so much fun. Lots of apparel, gifts, and the excitement starts to build when you realize that you are so close to finding your perfect match. And then the reveal happens and it's still really fun, but then something even better happens; a true sisterhood.

When I say a true sisterhood, I don't mean just a sisterhood filled with Taco Bell runs, late nights in the living room, and walking to parties together in the freezing cold. A true sisterhood meaning a woman who will be there for you no matter what day, time, season, year. Someone who will always be your big sister and help you in whatever way they can.

That's what my big is for me and I hope that is exactly what I can be for you. Lindsey is there for me no matter what. Even if I call her in the middle of the night with boy issues, she will always invite me over for gluten free bagels, peppermint tea, and late night talks. Even if I have had a little too much and am maybe a little too happy to see her (which is never actually true because I am always so happy to see her) she will be just as excited and give me lots of hugs and love.

That's exactly who I want to be for you.

I want to be that big that calls you "little" every time I see you and makes you feel just as special as Lindsey makes me feel. I want to be that big that you want to spend time with and do things with. I want that big that you feel like you can talk about anything with. I want to be that big that you call when you need help or even when you just want a hug.

And there's a lot of things that I want in a little too, but all of my wishes have already been granted because I got you as a little.

I've only known you for a few weeks and I've only known that you were my little for a few days, but I already have so much love for you and cannot wait until we are united and you can join our family. We are all so excited to welcome you, love you, and give you that special relationship that everyone looks for with a big.

Just a few more days little until we can run into each other's arms! I can barely contain myself, but know this for now: I love you, I can't wait to be your big, and I literally cannot wait to have such a sweet, loving, and awesome little. I am so lucky!!!

But for now, I must get back to crafting.

Meet you soon!!

Love, your future Big

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Whether you're commuting or dorming, your first year of college is a huge adjustment. Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
