An Open Letter To My Boyfriend

Words could never describe how much you mean to me.

An Open Letter To My Boyfriend
Megan Dusenberry

Dear Boyfriend,

I knew as soon as I met you I knew you were different. You were kind, sweet, charming, funny and so easy to get along with. But I never knew in a zillion years we would end up together and you would mean so much to me.

I really wasn't even looking for someone, you kind of just popped up into my life. We start out as "JUST FRIENDS" and I totally friend zoned you so hard at first. (I am so sorry for that by the way.) But during that time were I did friend-zoned you I got to know so much about you. I got to know about your past, your dreams, your favorite food, your fears and so much more.

But during that time we built this amazing friendship which eventually turned into a wonderful relationship. I would never imagine a guy like you would ever like a girl like me. But now I couldn't imagine my life without you.

Ever since I have met you my life has changed for the better. Ever since I met you I have been happier. No matter what mood I am in you always know how to cheer me up. You always try to help me stay positive even when I don't want to. You are always there to lift me up whenever I am down.

Ever since I met you I have become more carefree. Before I met you I was always worried about the future and what will happen. And now I am not so worried about the future. Instead I am starting to live in the here and now. You have made me realize the future is not always how we want it to. You have helped me understand that.

Ever since I met you I have become a better artist. I know there are times I am so stressed out and have no idea what to do for a project but you are there to help me figure out my problem. I honestly don't think that I would have ever become this great of an artist. You always push me to do my best and be the best I can be.

Ever since I met you I am learning more about myself each day. You have been helping me see the true me. You have been showing me who I truly am. You have been helping me grow and truly find myself. You have helped me believe in myself and be more confident.

I could keep going on and on about you.

But I want to thank you for a few things...

Thank you for being my shoulder I can cry on.

Thank you for being my Netflix buddy.

Thank you for going on adventures with me.

Thank you for cheering me up when I am down.

Thank you for being honest with me.

Thank you for being helping me.

Thank you for all of the compliments.

Thank you for loving food as much as I do.

Thank you for always holding my hand.

Thank you for teaching me.

Thank you for making me laugh until I cry.

Thank you for playing video games with you.

Thank you for ordering pizza with me at 12 at night.

Thank you for everything.

But most important...

Thank you for being my rock, my partner in crime, my boyfriend, my side kick, my dinner date, my pillow, my cheerleader but most importantly my best friend. I am forever grateful that you're in my life today. Wherever life takes us, I'm glad that I get to have you right by my side.

Love,

Your Girlfriend.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
