Everyone knows the superstar Patriots QB Tom Brady. Whether you love him or hate him, he is arguably one of the best to ever play the game. At the ripe, old age of 39, Brady has 15 seasons under his belt as starting quarterback, seven Super Bowl trips, and four Super Bowl rings. Whether you love him or hate him, there's no question the guy is a star. But all things football aside, there are tons of non-Patriots related reasons to love the NFL legend. Here are X:

1. Brady was drafted as a catcher by the Montreal Expos out of high school.

Of course the man behind the plate has to have an arm too, but Brady was a phenom in his high school baseball career. He rejected the offer and enrolled to play football at Michigan.

2. He doesn't like to sign pictures where his mechanics aren't what they should be.

The star QB doesn't mind signing autographs for his fans, but if the picture he's signing captures a bad stance/throw/fundamental, he will tell you how terrible it is and ask you to sign just about anything else.

3. One of his favorite desserts is avocado ice cream.

Everyone knows that the man is a health nut, but he really likes avocado ice cream. (If he gets his fifth ring, someone please buy him a real ice cream cone.)

4. He has a really humble motivation tactic.

He told a college teammate that if he made it big, he just really wanted to be able to wear a new pair of socks every day. Like put them on in the morning, throw them away at night. That was his literal dream. I bet Gisele has the easiest Christmas shopping experience ever.

5. He gifts his fellow Patriots with his favorite footwear.

Yeah, maybe LeBron and Jordan do something similar- but my man Tom Brady doesn't give them his coveted sports shoe- Brady gives his professional football playing teammates all Uggs. Fluffy little Aussie boots for ALL Patriots!

6. He allegedly has an endearing pet name for all of his teammates.

He has been rumored to call all of his teammates "babe" at one time or another. As in, Great play, babe! I mean, I don't think anyone is offended by Tom Brady calling them "babe," but who knows.

7. He doesn't just hate to lose in football.

At the age of 8, Brady was playing golf with his dad and threw a golf club twice, because he hated to lose so much. We've all been there.

8. He likes Green Eggs and Ham.

...okay well he likes the man who made them up. He loves to read to his kids before bed, and when he gets to pick the books, he picks Dr. Seuss or Shel Silverstein because those are the kinds of books he enjoys- all jokes aside.

9. His motivational speeches are just as awkward as yours would be.

Just watch part of it. He tries so hard and says all the right things, but he is just as awkward as the rest of us.

10. The man made his own athletic sleepwear. Sleepwear for athletes.

It's Under Armor sleepwear, and it is just as ridiculous as it sounds. Supposedly, as the advertisement says, there is some sort of special technology to help athletes recover overnight. Like freaking magic.

11. ...And then he proceeded to make fun of it just like everyone else.

He knows it sounds ridiculous, so he got in the dang parody himself. You. Are. Welcome.

12. He's come a very long way.

He was drafted 199th, his teams throughout his pre-college career never made it to the playoffs, he really only got to play when someone got injured, and his NFL combine picture looked like this. He had the glow-up we all strive for.

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.

Yes, it IS a sport. Yes, I fall all the time. No, I do not ride in jeans with a cowgirl hat on.

Growing up I have always wanted to own a horse. My grandparents own a well known equestrian facility in Georgia, so I have been riding since I was born. A bond between a person and their horse is a bond so strong that it cannot be broken. Everywhere I went I wanted to be around horses, even forcing my family to go on trail rides during vacations. Horses have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember has taught me great responsibility, as well as 14 things that all equestrians can relate to.

College is super hard. Between working, studying, and having a social life, it feels like a struggle to just keep afloat.

I understand. When you feel like your drowning and there's no way to stay afloat I understand that it feels like everyone else is doing just fine. I understand all the frustration, long nights in the library, and that feeling that you want to just throw in the towel. I understand that sometimes it's too hard to get out of bed because your brain is already filled with too much information to remember. I understand because I am also feeling pretty burnt out.

No Matter How Challenging School Gets, You Have To Put Your Health First — A Degree Won't Mean Anything If You're Dead

Some of the best advice I've ever received was from my social studies teacher in sophomore year of high school. He stated, "If you don't know it at midnight, you're not going to know it for the 8 a.m. exam, so get some sleep."

It's such a simple piece of advice, but it holds so much accuracy and it's something that the majority of college students need to hear and listen to. "All-nighters" are a commonality on college campuses in order to cram in studying for an exam that is typically the next day.
