The Blaze's Tomi Lahren, America's white, conservative, opinion-filled sweetheart, decided she would share her final thoughts on the recent act of Colin Kaepernick. The 49ers quarterback refused to stand during the National Anthem as a protest against racial oppression. When later interviewed about it, he said, "I am not looking for approval. I have to stand up for people that are oppressed...If they take football away, my endorsements from me, I know that I stood up for what is right." Tomi decided that this was absolutely unacceptable and proceeded to "shred" Kaepernick for the whole country to see.

Let's discuss a couple of ways in which Tomi responded. First, the passive aggressive, sarcasm-lined tone of voice she used when stating things such as, "He will not stand to show pride in a flag or a country that oppresses black people," and, "After all, according to Kaepernick, there are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder." Second, the very grave and condescending tone of voice that she took on when saying, "Colin, how dare you sit there and blame white people for the problems of minority communities. After all, aren't you half white," "Please tell me how you're oppressed," and, "When will those in black communities take a step back and take some responsi-damn-bility for the problems of black communities, because it seems to me blaming white people for all of your problems might make you the racist."

Apparently, I missed the point at which minorities became the cause of their own oppression. I suppose while I had my head in the clouds I also neglected to realize that reverse racism is a completely valid concept. I'll throw in the fact that just because someone is only half of a minority, the colored side of them doesn't really count. Therefore, they can't speak out against racial oppression either.

How would you know a single thing about this man's oppression and what would make you feel so entitled as to assume he has never experienced any? What gives you the right to slander his birth parents and claim that he can't stick up for a half of his ancestry? Please tell me also, Tomi, why it's so horrific for whites to speak out against racism? Maybe you should take a look in your fourth grade history book at the topic of slavery and perhaps the Civil Rights Movement since you are so obviously blind to the world beyond your pampered, privileged opinions.

Our flag represents a country in which people like you abuse their right to freedom of speech. It is because of this misuse that we must continue to witness wrongdoings towards people of color. We have so much freedom in this country; we live the supposed "American dream." Despite the great opportunities and progression we have been graced with, we still do not know how to respect this great freedom that we have been given. We continually accept the indecency of human nature and therefore lose reason to celebrate our flag and the values that our country was meant to uphold.

It's time to wake up and smell the pot of prejudice and supremacy that you have been helping brew every morning, Tomi. You are the problem that Kaepernick is speaking out against. You are the textbook definition of white privilege. If you were listed in the Webster, words such as ignorant, inhumane, uncompassionate, and toxic would be printed directly below. You continue to make me livid with your words of supremacist destruction.

I am so sorry that someone in your life never educated you on the values of compassion and acceptance. I can't imagine what it's like to have a reputation built on hate and intolerance, but I hope that one day you'll be able to turn over a new leaf. Maybe at some point you'll be able to see the world for what it really is and won't parade around making absurd, incorrect, invalid notions about the social issues of the world.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

No matter how long your class is, there's always time for the mind to wander. Much like taking a shower or trying to fall asleep, sitting in a classroom can be a time when you get some of your best ideas. But, more than likely, you're probably just trying to mentally cope with listening to a boring lecturer drone on and on. Perhaps some of the following Aristotle-esque thoughts have popped into your head during class.

Bob's Burgers

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.
