Tomi Lahren has become one of the most talked about faces of politics in today's social media feeds. The openly Republican commentator has become famous for her publicly voiced "Final Thoughts" on many controversial topics through her show on The Blaze. All political beliefs set aside, I admire Lahren for taking a new approach to the ever changing platform that is public communication. While there are many reasons to be against this woman, here are the reasons why Tomi Lahren is someone we all should strive to be like:

She is a successful woman.

Whether you agree with her opinions or not, Tomi Lahren has become successful. And at the very young age of 23 years old. Fresh out of college, this strong willed young television host has created her own success in having her own show that gains millions upon millions of views, weekly. This is something that many of us college students can only dream of accomplishing by the age of 35, after following a long road of being the small man on the totem pole. Her new platform has even seen a few copycats. She has set a standard for woman in their 20's all over America to stand up for what they believe in and voice their opinions, whatever they may be.

She does not care what other people think.

Over the course of the summer, Lahren has been thrown a lot of shade for her rants on very controversial subjects. We have all seen the social media posts where those who disagree with her opinions are very passionate about their hatred for her. Even knowing that her rant will be displayed for the world to see and either love or hate, she does not hold back! She says things in a way that many anchors wish they had the balls to. Nothing is sugar coated or implied. Instead, she lays it all out on the line exactly how she means it. While I am not here to argue about her views on the political world, as I do not fully agree with them myself, her reaction to the haters is something to be admired. The threatening messages that Lahren has received in response to her commentary would be enough for anyone to tame it down. Tomi Lahren answers with an I-dont-give-a-crap message to stand up for herself that anyone could learn from.

She allows people to challenge her.

Even though Lahren has her own platform to say whatever she wants and does not hold back what she thinks, she allows those who disagree with her the chance to argue their points on her show. She understands that her opinions can be harsh and one sided so instead of hiding behind her computer after completely pissing off a large majority of the American population, she acknowledges that there are differences of opinion. Lahren is always up for the challenge to be proven wrong, and she has many of times ON HER OWN SHOW. Even when she has been completely shut down by someone from the other team, that footage is still posted on her weekly show, allowing people to form their own opinions on the matter. There is something to be said for someone who is so passionate about their own opinion who is able to give others the chance to play on the same battle field. She has been made a fool on multiple occasions, but that does not stop her from her persistent final thoughts.

She does have a soft side.

Through all of the passionately stated rants that Tomi Lahren has invited the world to see, she has been portrayed as a very cut-throat woman. One thing that many may not have seen from her is compassion because they hear only what they disagree with. Some things that are missed. She is a hardcore Republican in support of Trump, but also in support of the gay community. She hates on the Black Lives Matter movement, but not black people. She has also been caught posting a few heartfelt messages through her final thoughts, such as reading a letter from a cops daughter. She recently spoke about loving others in this episode of Final Thoughts with Tomi.

Though she may be one of the more hated people in the public eye today, Tomi Lahren has strong qualities that can and should be admired. I encourage others to be more like Lahren, speak your mind, work hard, and be open to hearing you are wrong. Hate her opinion all you want, but she has a drive that is inspirational. I hate to break it to you, but the more you watch, share, hate and talk about her on social media, the more views she gets and the more successful she becomes. "Those are MY final thoughts. God bless you, God bless America, and take care!"

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
