Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson, just became the first celebrities to publicly announce that they have tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19).

Hanks tweeted the following Thursday night:

While Hanks and Wilson are the first big names to announce that they have coronavirus, they probably won't be the last.

The manner in which Hanks made the announcement was on par for his reputation: He was calm, cool, collected and gave words of wisdom to all his fans and fellow citizens who might be going through the same experience.

Now if only we could get that kind of leadership in the White House.
