The first thing you'll notice is that she carries herself differently. She has come to peace with her flaws and her past. She loves herself regardless of what she has been through and it shows.

She is different.

She lives her life for herself and not to please others.

She does not conform to society; what others want her to be.

This girl knows who she is and isn't afraid to let the world know. She is true to herself. When her world is crashing down around her, she keeps that smile on her face. Nothing can keep her down. She feels everything so deeply and continues to love herself and the woman she is becoming. This girl knows that she would not be who she is if it was not for all the trials and tribulations she has gone through.

She will make you love yourself.

She will be your best friend, your number one fan.

She is the girl that will make sure that when you're up, she's up. When you're down and out, she will make sure you get right back up again. She knows that she doesn't need to depend on you for everything. This girl will stand strong on her own two feet.

She doesn't need anything or anyone else to make her feel whole.

She is the girl with the big heart. The girl that can make you crack a smile on your worse days.

This is the girl that you will open your heart up to, the girl you fall head over heels for. She will change you life. She is her own person. It shows in the way she walks and in the way she talks.

This girl scares you nearly to death. You know that because she puts herself first, she loves herself... She knows what love is so she will know how to love you.

If you allow her to.

Above all, this is the girl you want because you know with all of you that she doesn't need you. You are well aware that she is okay on her own yet you want her and you want and you need her to be with you on this journey of this crazy thing called life.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
