In This Article:

Have you ever felt like the best parent in the world and the worst parent in the world all in the same day?

You're not alone.

Do you wake up exhausted and go to bed exhausted and drag yourself through the day in a zombie-like state?

You're not alone.

Have you ever gone an entire day without brushing your hair? Or your teeth? Or even looking at yourself in the mirror?

You're not alone.

Do you sometimes feel guilty, like you aren't doing enough for your child?
You're definitely not alone.

Have you ever been running around non-stop all day and still felt like you got nothing done?

Are there friends you used to be close with who haven't contacted you since you had a baby?

Do you sometimes find yourself cranky or irritable due to sleep deprivation?

Have you ever feared that someone would literally drown in your piles of laundry?

Do you see your tired eyes in the mirror and feel like the most unattractive person in the world?

Yeah. You're not alone.

This is parenting. There are hardships and responsibilities that you're never fully prepared for despite age, income, or circumstance.

But it is manageable. And doable.

You're not in this alone. Just look at the little life you're molding. You're in this together.

Do you ever watch your baby sleeping?

They're not alone.

Have you laughed when you heard your baby laugh?

They're not alone.

Do you look into your baby's eyes and feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude?

They're not alone.

They have you. They have a source of guidance, care, and unconditional love that will give them strength and courage throughout their entire lives, even after you're gone.

You can do this.

You're already doing it.

You're not alone.

If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
