Whether you are a student, parent, child, or just someone out there trying to make it in the real world: IT IS OK TO DOUBT YOURSELF.

We are told from a young age to "go with our guts" and stay strong with what we are feeling. You might have even heard this popular motivational quote: “Doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will.”

While going with your gut a good thing sometimes, we should not be discouraged to doubt ourselves. It is through doubt in which we grow.

Doubt helps you improve. It allows us to see everything from the outside and get the entire picture.

Doubt makes you question people and situations. This can help you get a clear picture, sometimes things aren't always what they seem and doubting can help us realize that.

Doubt helps you come over your fears and reach new heights you never thought you would. And when you finally do overcome the doubt, the feeling of success is remarkable.

And when you do doubt yourself, you open a window. You create a new path or possibility that was not there before. It is in that moment of doubt that something amazing emerges. You open yourself up to options that never seemed possible.

Honestly, those paths were always there. But the easy routes are the ones that you could only see. Or at least until you doubted yourself and realized that there is always another way. Even though it might seem harder, the payoff is the real reward.

The road might be curvier, the hill might be taller, but the reward that comes with the risk of doubting yourself is worth it.

And I'm not saying doubt your every decision. Because going with your gut can be a good thing. Just never be scared to doubt yourself because in that moment is when you will grow the most.
