There are several things each person who is unhealthily obsessed with Law & Order SVU knows to be true. Here is a list of them:

First, you can TOTALLY hum/sing the whole theme song, beat for beat, all the way from the "bum bum bummmm" at the end. (Insert head bob and hand gestures).

Second, Elliot Stabler is HOT HOT HOT!! His passion, his looks, and his shirtless scenes absolutely contribute to the appeal of the show. There always has to be the hot headed stud cop to really seal the deal.

And of course we are all jealous of his wife, I mean she gets to come home to that every night.

And we are okay with Nick as his replacement because he is eye candy as well and still does it for us, even though nobody could ever replace our Elliot.

Third, Olivia Benson is a role model. Her unprecedented dedication to the job, doing the right thing, and being gorgeous, is something all women should strive to achieve. I think we all secretly hoped she'd meet the right man but if she didn't, no problem, she's the poster woman for girl power!

Fourth, Finn and Munch are actually hilarious. Munch's always appropriate facts and paranoid skepticism coupled with Finn's smart ass comments and street based know-how are always appreciatively entertaining.

Fifth, We cannot figure out how Law and Order SVU creators, writers, and producers, still over 10 years later, still continue to make new episodes that are still just as amazing!

Kudos to the production and creative teams of Law and Order SVU for making arguably, the best fictional cop show with the best partner duo ever on television.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
