Happy finals week. It's finals week, which means sleepless nights spent studying and drowning in an endless sea of assignments season is upon us. But it's okay becauseyou will survive, and when you start to think otherwise, remember these 10 things:

1. Life will go on.

Your life will not be altered because of this one week of finals.

2. Your grade does not define you.

We should be defined by efforts, understanding, and how we allowed our schooling to shape us but instead, we are defined by how well we test. Our schools may use our GPAs and test scores to define us as students, but we hold the power to determine if our GPAs or test scores define ourselves as a people.

3. Remember that you're only human.

During finals week, we all become the living dead of college but it's important to remember that you're only human, we can't do everything. And hey, it is okay to cry.

4. Take care of your self.

Walking around campus with only two hours of sleep and a diet coke and a coffee for lunch isn't going to cut it. Remember to take care of yourself; sleep is essential.

5. Remember why you're doing this.

Remembering why you're pushing yourself so hard in the first place is the easiest way to gain back your lost motivation.

6. This isn't forever.

Remember that college will not last forever. You will get through finals and you will graduate.

7. Grades won't matter after college.

Your future employer isn't going to care if you made a 97 or 70 on your stats final; just focus on passing.

8. Do your best.

Just do your best. If your best is barely passing, then so be it. You tried.

9. Skipping out on sleeping isn't okay.

Remember that YOU NEED SLEEP. When given the choice between studying an extra few hours vs. sleep, choose sleep.

10. It's only one week!

There is a finish line!

No matter how many finals you have or how much studying you have to do, remember the end is near.

10 Things Only Equestrians Understand

Yes, it IS a sport. Yes, I fall all the time. No, I do not ride in jeans with a cowgirl hat on.

Growing up I have always wanted to own a horse. My grandparents own a well known equestrian facility in Georgia, so I have been riding since I was born. A bond between a person and their horse is a bond so strong that it cannot be broken. Everywhere I went I wanted to be around horses, even forcing my family to go on trail rides during vacations. Horses have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember has taught me great responsibility, as well as 14 things that all equestrians can relate to.

College is super hard. Between working, studying, and having a social life, it feels like a struggle to just keep afloat.

I understand. When you feel like your drowning and there's no way to stay afloat I understand that it feels like everyone else is doing just fine. I understand all the frustration, long nights in the library, and that feeling that you want to just throw in the towel. I understand that sometimes it's too hard to get out of bed because your brain is already filled with too much information to remember. I understand because I am also feeling pretty burnt out.

No Matter How Challenging School Gets, You Have To Put Your Health First — A Degree Won't Mean Anything If You're Dead

Some of the best advice I've ever received was from my social studies teacher in sophomore year of high school. He stated, "If you don't know it at midnight, you're not going to know it for the 8 a.m. exam, so get some sleep."

It's such a simple piece of advice, but it holds so much accuracy and it's something that the majority of college students need to hear and listen to. "All-nighters" are a commonality on college campuses in order to cram in studying for an exam that is typically the next day.

Sometimes my brain just starts turning on an idea and it doesn't want to stop.

I don't know if it is related to my anxiety, perfectionism or depression. I don't know why it happens. It's frustrating, it's painful and it stops me from functioning.
