To The Up-Coming Senior

Where did the time go?

It felt like just yesterday that we were moving into our freshman dorms, scared as hell and more excited than ever. Freshman year was filled with ups and downs; meeting new friends and losing old ones, getting involved on campus but missing home, taking interesting classes but still having no idea what we wanted to be after college - but it didn't even matter because we still had so much time to figure it out.

Then sophomore year rolled around and we were so excited to get back to campus after a long summer of being away from our new lifestyle. It was hard to believe that our freshman year was already over; we weren't the fresh meat anymore and we knew how this whole college thing worked. Sophomore year was a blast living with all of our friends and being acclimated on campus. Fall semester came and went, and come spring semester we were eager for summer and to return back as a junior.

Junior year rolled around and it was the best one yet. We couldn't believe we were already juniors but we were loving every second of it. Most of us lived in suite-styled dorms with our closest friends and made the most out of every second with each other, staying up until ungodly hours of the night talking about anything or sitting there in comfortable silence, growing closer regardless. Fall semester came and went, and we were all eager for spring break and spring week on campus.

Just like the rest, spring semester came and went. We're all preparing for finals and just trying to get through the last week of classes. We're looking forward to summer but saddened that this may be the last time we see most of the familiar faces of the senior class. We're eager to return back to campus in a few months as seniors, but hoping the summer lasts forever so that we never have to leave here.

Where did the time go? It feels like just yesterday we were moving into our freshman dorms. So much has happened between now and then, so much has changed. We made it to senior year even though it seemed so far away on move-in day three years ago. This coming fall starts the beginning of the last chapter of our college undergrad career. We all know it'll be the best year, the one that'll probably stick our most in our minds when we look back on our college years.

Some of us are eager to graduate and go to grad school or enter the real world. Some of us want to stay an undergrad forever. Regardless, we have one year left, class of 2017. One more year. It seems like a long time, but so did three years when we were freshman and look where we are now. Make the most of these last two weeks of junior year, make the most of your last summer before senior year, and definitely make the most of every second of your senior year. Don't wish it away, don't look too far ahead into the future, but enjoy every moment (the good and the bad) up until the day you walk on stage and receive your degree.

So...take advantage of every opportunity, make the most of every second left as a college undergrad. Don't wish your senior year away because it'll come and go before you know it. Class of 2017, let's make senior year some of the best days of our lives.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. Ever heard of “pain is temporary, but GPA is forever?” Pre-meds don’t just embody that motto; we live and breathe it. Here are 10 symptoms you’re down with the pre-med student syndrome.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.

Coming from someone majoring in business at a school that thrives off of business majors, I know how rough it can be sometimes. Being a business major can be awesome, and awful, simultaneously.
