There are so many teachers and professors out in this world that put up with terrible students and help those who need it. If you ask me, they don't get the recognition that they should. From a student who didn't get straight A's but also didn't fail out of high school, I want to take some time to thank my teachers who helped me mold into the student that I am today. I appreciete you every single day. Here are the biggest things I never got the chance to thank you for...

Thank you for being the one who pushed me to my limits but never over the edge.

I am so grateful for teachers like you. There are very few it seems that really seem to push their students to do the best that they can, and even a little bit father. It was never just one teacher though, who helped me shape into the student I am today, but only some that I can count on one hand.

Thank you for believing in me.

My hardest subjects were the ones I never wanted to understand because they didn’t come easy to me. Because of teachers like you I was able to love some subjects that I thought I never would. You showed me what it is like to have a teacher actually care about a student. You didn’t just want what was best for me at the time, but what is also the best for me in my future. You care about me as a student and a person.

Thank you for supporting me.

Because you believed in me you supported every choice I made. Whether you agreed with my decisions or not, you always supported me.

Thank you for preparing me for the real world.

There really needs to be more teachers like you, those who go out of the curriculum when they need to and make it their job to help every student prepare for more than just the ACT or the SAT.

Thank you for reprimanding me when I needed it.

Yes, you guys were the cool teachers, the ones who laughed with you and were there to support you when you needed it. You also never let us get away with things we shouldn’t have, like being late to class or doing other homework during your class time.

I hope you know which teachers you are, those that I'm writing about. Because of you guys I am an above average college student and I know more than the other students who surround me. You taught me more than just school, you taught me ways to believe in myself and to never forget that life isn't all about graphs and public speeches. So, thank you.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
