It's that time in the semester where it seems everything is falling apart. You have about thirty things to do and three days to get it all done. No matter how hard we try, we can never seem to stay caught up. We're almost to the breaking point. Every student can relate to the trials and tribulations posed by the end of the semester. At times, it's very frustrating, and all we want to do is give up. We question our sanity, we question our reasoning, and we wonder why we constantly subject ourselves to the stress-induced, caffeinated state of constant mental overload. But I promise you, it will all be worth it.
One day at a time, one assignment at a time, one class at a time. We have to keep telling ourselves there is a purpose within the madness that surrounds our psyche and emotions. We have to keep our heads up, and believe in the greater plan. We cannot give up, or accept defeat because then our hard work will be for nothing. We have to push on.
While the statement, "It's all going to be alright" is probably the most cliche and overused one in the book, it is absolutely true. This stage of life is only temporary-bigger and better things are coming, we just have to diligently and consistently scrape away at the mountain of assignments and hardships standing before us. We can do it, and it will be alright. We will fall behind, we will fall down, but the end of the semester can't stand in our way forever. We will advance our careers, and we will beat the inner demon trying to drag us down.
We have endured so much, fought too hard, and worked beyond measurement to achieve something. Whatever it is, make that something count. Life gets overwhelming, and we fall into emotional valleys, but just remember, this is temporary. Focus on the strength to overcome, and visualize yourself succeeding...it just might make everything a little more bearable.
