To The Person Who Isn't Accepted By Family Members

"Blood is thicker than water."

Some people may have a lot of blood but less water. Some people may have a lot of water but less blood. Or maybe even both, equally.

The word "family" itself is about having a strong bond with your parents, siblings, grandparents and others. They are known to be related by blood.

Yes, there is blood relation but... what if there isn't any bond with some of them?

What if there's a family member that talks about you in a super negative way and wants nothing to do with you?

They don't invite you to celebrations, take pictures with you, call you to see how you're doing or even wish you a happy birthday.

And no matter how hard you try, they will NOT accept you.

But you know what. That's their problem and that's their loss. If they want you in their life, they'll put you there. You shouldn't have to fight for a spot.

God sees everything and knows what is right and wrong. He has a better way of fixing things than you probably do.

Family is determined more by behavior than blood. It's about who is willing to hold your hand when you need it the most and the amount of love that is given. We cannot forget that actions speak louder than words.

There are people in this universe that will accept you for who you are. Even if they are not family, but by water such as friends, teachers and others. If someone doesn't approve you, then move along. Because someday, they will wish that they weren't so hard on you.

It hurts to know that some family members will disapprove others because they are just like any other person. It's okay to cry and tears will only make you stronger.

To the person who isn't accepted by family members, focus on what you want to do in life and strive forward. Create goals for yourself and do something big in the world because everything will be fine in the end. You don't need to be accepted by others. You just need to accept yourself.

" Do good, and good will come to you."

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
