When you're having the worst day of your life, and you don't think it can get any worse. You get a text message... maybe from someone who you haven't spoken to in a long time. That message, to you, may be your saving grace. You stop and think... "Wow, maybe things just aren't so bad." Be that person for someone.
When you walk into a room, and you don't recognize anyone. You sit down, and all you want to do is leave. Someone walks over to you... maybe just to say “Hello”. You begin the conversation, and you feel a sense of comfort. Be that person for someone.
When you're riding in the car, and the music is off... your mind is going a thousand miles per hour. Your phone rings, and it's someone who you love unconditionally. Their voice radiates through the phone, and you can hear they're genuinely happy to hear your voice too. Be that person for someone.
It could be as simple as an encounter. You know, something so simple, but means so much. You really didn't want to talk to anyone that day... so you went out by yourself. You see this person, and their smile. You talk for a little bit... and you walk away. You begin to feel better. That darkness, in your mind, begins to fade. Be that person for someone.
People are fighting a battle... even the ones you think have it all together.
Be that text text message, be that stranger, be that phone call, and be that encounter.
Everyone needs someone like you in their life.
