We've all experienced rejection at one point or another. Whether it was the person who turned you down, the team you didn't make, the job you didn't get...
Rejection, in your personal life or in your professional life, feels like a straight punch in the stomach that knocks the complete breath out of you (no sugar coating here).
It often affects us negatively - causing us to feel insecure, unworthy, insufficient, sad, angry, and even confused.
Why am I not good enough? What's wrong with me? What could I have done better?
We constantly question ourselves.
But a wise woman recently told me, "rejection is God's protection".
God doesn't answer our requests with "no"; instead, He answers with "not yet or not this one".
You are not experiencing this rejection because God isn't looking out for you - it's quite the opposite. We may never fully understand why our temporary disappointment is a part of His plan, but we have to trust Him and be patient.
So to those of you with a broken heart, whether it's from work, relationships, or plans that didn't go the way you necessarily wanted, know that God's plan is much greater than your own.
God is protecting you from this because there is something far better just around the corner. Pick yourself up and keep going. You have the best guardian, and He loves you oh so much.
"And the Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail." Isaiah 58:11
"Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!" Psalm 27:14
