You've worked hard the past few months trying to keep up with your school work and making sure you still have time to get in some hours at work. You've stayed up late or woke up early to finish an assignment or study for a quiz. You've dragged your butt to school on 3 hours of sleep or less even though all you wanted to do was curl up in bed and forget about everything. You've done it all, but you don't get to enjoy spring break like everyone else.

While it might feel like you are from everyone's check-ins on social media, you're definitely not alone. Not everyone can afford to travel over spring break or take time off of work. Every year when spring break comes along, I find myself feeling left out because everyone else gets to travel somewhere warm and relax for a week. As for me, I'm struggling to make ends meet and pay my bills so there's no time for vacationing for me.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not putting anyone down for traveling over spring break. Some people save up their money all year so they can take advantage of spring break. Others use this as their vacation instead of taking one over the summer. If you're traveling for spring break, there's nothing wrong with that, either, it might just be the jealousy in me talking.

For my spring break this year, I'm going to try to take advantage of what time off I do have. I'm going to hopefully take a day trip somewhere close and enjoy some travel time in my own state. I'm going to forget about school for a week and do all my work next week (I'll hate myself for this later but it's all a part of the college experience, right?) I'm going to actually sit on the couch and watch TV for once in my life instead of running around trying to get everything done like I usually am.

Instead of being upset that I can't travel like a lot of my friends, I'm taking advantage of whatever I can do. Are you having trouble with this, too? Do little things with your free time because, all in all, it's better than being at school! In the end, you might have just as much fun as the people who are traveling (you just won't be as tan.) If you find yourself living vicariously through other people's social media posts, take a break from social media and really enjoy your break. It may not be much, but it's better than nothing at all!

So, for now, I might be stuck in cold, snowy Massachusetts for spring break, but at least I'm getting somewhat of a break before I have to finish off the semester. There's plenty of things for me to do to make my spring break fun instead of sitting around moping about not being able to go to Florida or Hawaii. Maybe one day I'll be able to take advantage of spring break, maybe. For now, I'm going to make the best of what I do have.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
