To The People I Do Not Thank Enough
Amanda Poussard

This is dedicated to everyone who has helped me grow into the person that I am today. I know I do not thank you guys nearly enough. I love all of you.

To My Sister

Thank you for being the biggest pain in the butt I have ever met. But thank you for much more than that too. Thank you for using up half (or more than half usually) of mom and dad’s time so that I could become more independent. Thank you for needing me so that I felt like an important influence in your life. But even more thank you for being my best friend. Thank you for sharng your secrets and for keeping mine. Thank you for hanging out when no one is around. And most of all thank you for loving me always.

To My Mom

Thank you for sacrificing so much for me. Thank you for kissing my boo-boos and for calming me when I had nightmares. Thank you for teaching me right from wrong and pushing me to achieve great things. Thank you for making me the person that I am because without you teaching me I wouldn’t be where I am.

To My Daddy

Thank you for making me the definition of “daddy’s little girl”. Thank you for teaching me not to take things so seriously and that being a goofball is a good thing. Thank you for keeping me smiling (if I’m not already rolling my eyes). Thank you for teaching me to have fun and for all of the “don’t tell mom” moments.

To My Boyfriend

Unlike my family who has to love me, you choose to (for some reason). Thank you for that. Thank you for dealing with me when I am being difficult. Thank you for dealing with the tears. Thank you for dealing with me when I am in crazy goofy moods and thank you for sharing so many smiles with me.

To My Friends

Thank you for also choosing to love me, or like me, or probably just tolerating me. Thank you to most of my friends for being there since elementary school and for still deciding to be my friends. Thank you for being there when I’ve needed it most. And most of all thank you for all of the memories.

I love you all!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
