To The Older Sister Who Has Always Been There

Thank you for being an amazing role model for me.

To The Older Sister Who Has Always Been There
Allison Williamson

When I look back on the totality of my life one day, I know I’ll look back and see that my life wouldn’t have been the same without you. Thank you for being a great role model to me all of my life, and for always being there when I needed you in a pinch. Whether it be from advice on what clothes to wear, or a midnight trip to Taco Bell, thank you. This one’s for you.

First off, I just want to say that even though we have had our fair share of arguments, I don’t think that any one argument has ever really gotten between us (but really though, you were probably right in most of those). You’ve always been there for me, and I hope that you can say the same for me. I can’t thank you enough for all of the rides you’ve given me, food you’ve bought me, and just overall good times we have shared together. It means more than I can ever express in one article.

Thank you for always making our days fun. Whether it was a rainy day at home, watching Disney movies, or if it was on vacation to Disney World, you’ve always helped me replace boring situations with fun ones. Through our fun times, you’ve introduced me to so many of the things that I hold dear. From our mutual love of eating unhealthy-food at county fairs (seriously, who else shares the love of funnel cakes more than us?) To our love of all things Halloween (Especially "The Nightmare Before Christmas") you have had a major impact on me, and the way I’ve been raised. We’re two of the same kind of troublemakers (much to mom and dad’s dismay).

In my worst moments, you’ve been there for me. Whether it was a relationship struggle, or whether it was the loss of someone we both held dear, you’ve always had my back, and for that you will have my eternal admiration and respect. I will never forget the things you have done for me, and even though it may not always appear to be such, you are the best sister I could ever ask for. There are so many memories of fun laughs we have together, making light of even the darkest situations. You’re always there for me to bounce my story ideas off of, and to correct me when I’m being an absolute dork. We may not have the most typical relationship because of the amount of years between us, but you have put up with every annoying aspect of me since I was born, and I’ll forever appreciate everything you’ve done for me. You’re my late-night restaurant going, driving around to nowhere loving, adventurous sister, and to me, you’re one of the biggest factors in why I am who I am today.

Thank you.

To those who celebrate, you just spent an entire day cooking an elaborate meal with all of your favorite foods. You probably ate your body weight in pumpkin pie and mashed potatoes. What happens now? 18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
