To My Big Brother,

Three years ago, on the first day of college, you welcomed me into your life with open arms. Entering college was an incredibly intimidating time for me. I didn't know many people and I was looking to find my way, just like everyone else. Little did I know, it wouldn't take me longer than a day to become great friends with one of the most incredible people in my life to this day, you.

For the past three years, you have watched me grow into the person that I am today. When I fell down, you were there to pick me up. When I needed a shoulder to cry on, you were happy to be that for me. When I needed someone to listen, your ears were always open. When I needed you most, you were consistently by my side. You have always pushed me to be better than I was yesterday and now it's my turn to push you. Together, we have shared our failures, achievements, and dreams. And now, your biggest dream is about to become your reality.

A week ago, you departed for New York City for a HUGE interview as a Stock Trader on none other than Wall Street. I remember the day we met clear as day. Shortly after introducing yourself, you told me "Some day I'm going to make something of myself. I'll be the biggest man on Wall Street." It's funny how life works out sometimes. You are by far the most well educated, passionate, and driven person I have ever met. Without a doubt in my mind, I knew you'd ace the interview with flying colors.

It was no surprise when I received an overly excited phone call just a few short hours after the interview. "I DID IT!" When I say that in that moment I had never been more proud of you, I swear to you it's true. You have worked your entire life to get to where you are today and I know in my heart that you WILL succeed. As you depart for New York City next week, just know that I will always be rooting for you. Remember to take this opportunity, run with it, and don't look back. You've made it.

You're going to do great things and I can't wait to see what the future holds for you. Never forget, I'll always be your biggest fan. So here's to the next chapter... I wish you nothing but the best.

"Follow your dreams and the universe will open doors for you where there were only windows."

XOXO,

Your Little Sis

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

317
Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Everybody gets sick once in a while, but getting sick while in college is the absolute worst. You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. You feel like you will have never-ending classwork to catch up on if you miss class, so you end up going sick and then it just takes longer to get better. Being sick in college is really tough and definitely not a fun experience. Here are the 15 stages that everyone ends up going through when they are sick at college.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
