To my best friend's new friends,
Going off to college means millions of things. It means starting over, being in new and bigger classes, wandering around new places, and of course meeting new people. I’ve been extremely blessed to have had some of the best friends throughout high school. As much as it hurts to part ways, I know we’ll all be finding friends to hang out with, call at 3 a.m., go on lunch dates, ice cream runs, and share stupid jokes with. So to the people that are lucky enough to become close with some of my best friends- here are a few things you should know.
Brace yourself — you’re getting into one awesome adventure.
These people are crazy fun and when you’re with them, you’re always in for a good time.
They’re genuine. They actually care about you and your well-being. They’ll answer the phone even if it’s 3 in the afternoon or 3 in the morning and wonder what they can do to make you feel a thousand times better. They’ll drop everything they’re doing to make sure you’re okay.
They’ll back you up when you’re right but also tell you when you’re just being stupid.
They’ll binge watch your favorite netflix episodes all night with you then laugh about it with you the next day.
They’re always down for anything, whether it’s driving around different towns blasting your favorite music with the windows down, to smaller adventures (but still fun nonetheless) like ordering pizza at 2 AM.
You’re going to love them just as much as I do. They’re some of the best people you’ll ever meet- simply, a life long friend. You won’t ever want to leave them once winter/summer breaks hit. I’m sure I’ll be meeting/face timing you at some point so until then, have a blast and make millions of memories. (Just keep them alive please!!) I can’t wait to hear all about it!
