Falling in love isn't as simple as the movie's make it out to be. I'm sure that "love at first sight" exists in the minds of some, but for me, the thought of love is much more sophisticated and complicated than that. I've been guilty of using the word "love" freely in the past, but I've definitely learned my lesson from that. I've learned to use it sparingly as it has such a deep meaning that most people don't truly grasp. However, as complicated as love may seem, I do want to relay a message to the man with whom I fall in love with one day. If you're out here reading this, I want you to know that I will truly love every aspect of you.

All of the struggles and heartbreak that past relationships bring, are worth it because it lead me to you. Here's a list of the ten things I'd like to say to the man that I truly do fall in love with one day:

1. I'll love all of your quirks that you're not so sure about

Between your goofiness and little pet peeves, I'll love you no matter what. We're not the exact same, and that's ok. I hope that you'll embrace mine as I'll do for you.

2. I'll be the last person to judge you

Being with me means we're in a judgement free zone. I'll be the first person to tell you about all the things I like about you rather than judge you for the parts that get on my nerves sometimes.

3. I'll laugh at your jokes (even if they aren't funny)

Even if it's an absolutely terrible pun that you love, I'll pretend to laugh along because that's what soulmates are for, right?

4. I'll participate in your favorite activities

Whether it be a sport that I'm completely and utterly awful at or something that simply doesn't interest me, just to put a smile on your face I'll participate. But please, not lacrosse. Anything but lacrosse. I tried that out in high school and I was just awful at it.

5. I'll watch your favorite movies

I'm always up for a good movie (unless it is a scary movie then we might have some issues). We can talk about it with one another or watch it again. Nothing better than cuddling up against the guy you love and watching a great movie.

6. I'll always be honest with you

Honesty is an important part of relationships. Especially when it comes time for very serious matters. What is a relationship without both partners being true to one another? Honesty is the very foundation of a relationship, and without it, there's nothing to build on.

7. I'll be there during the hard times

Everyone goes through ups and downs in life. I'll be there with you to face the shitty times and be there as your backbone and support system. I want to be there for you. Love is all about being compassionate and supportive for another individual. Just know, you'll always have me in your corner.

8. I'll make sure that you're always feeling confident about yourself.

From your head to your toes, I'll always be there to compliment each and every single aspect of you. You should know in the back of your mind at all times that you have someone who thinks so highly of you. Although appearance is minuscule in what I look for in a lover, I will always find you to be rather beautiful.

9. I'll make sure to show you off to all of my friends

You will be my prized possession, a true trophy for everyone to see. I'll make sure to take hundreds upon thousands of photos with you, to capture the memories and unforgettable times that the two of us spend together.

10. I'll simply just love you

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
