To The Man I Can't Let Go Of

"We loved with a love that was more than love."

To The Man I Can't Let Go Of

To The Man I Can't Let Go Of,

You came into my life when I wasn't looking to start anything new. We had been friends for years, but we had never actually talked a lot, but when we started talking, the last thing on my mind was being in a relationship because I had recently recreated myself. I finally had both feet on the ground and was strong again after a bad break up. I knew who I was, and I was happy with myself at last. Then along you came. And boy, I am forever thankful that you did.

Every time I said "no" to you, you kept fighting for me. You saw something in me that even I couldn't see and so you didn't give up. Eventually, I decided to give you my heart, and I don't regret it for a second. If I had never taken a chance on you, I would've missed out on so much happiness and love and so many smiles and laughs and memories.

Our relationship had a lot of good, and we learned from the bad. I look back on all the memories we shared, and although my heart may ache in nostalgia, I smile because what we had was real. My heart is happy reminiscing because I truly know that you loved me and cared about me. No matter how bad things got, we were always able to talk things through and be there for each other. Even to this day, you are there for me in times of need.

Since the break up, a lot of bad things have happened. Things that shouldn't have been said were said. Things that shouldn't have been done were done. I'm so thankful that among all the bad, you are still there for me and show you care. I can't thank you enough for all you've done for me. You are my angel.

It was a privilege to love you, and I would be honored to have the opportunity to again because our love was special. Words can't explain how special things were and how strong our connection was.

I strongly believe that everything happens for a reason. I know that things will work out the way they should.

You will always have a special place in my heart. I will always love you. You mean the world to me, and I would do anything for you. I hope you smile when you think of me.

I wish you and your family nothing but love, success, and happiness in the future. Love your family and friends like you always do. I know you will be successful in whatever path you take. I hope you find happiness in the little things, such as cute dogs you pass on the street.

I will always care about you and your family. I love hearing about your sister's high school experiences, your dad's accomplishments, your mom's big and beautiful heart, and your dog's lives. I wish I could be by your side when beautiful things happen in your life, but my role in your life may be different now. No matter what our relationship is in the future, I will always stand by you through the good and the bad. I will never forget you, and no one can replace you. You changed my life and made me feel alive when all I wanted to do was burrow.

As Augustus Waters says, "You don't get to choose if you get hurt in this world, but you do have some say in who hurts you. I like my choices."

I love you.

Always,

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.
