Be stronger because you are stronger.

I hope you know what they say is going to hurt you. It's going to break you apart, and you're going to want to disappear. There will be days that they will make you feel so useless that you can't function, where you hardly want to get out of bed. You will sometimes find yourself having no other feeling left in you, but to cry. You just want to hurt from somewhere else, not your heart anymore. They never thought of your feelings before. Crying isn’t a sign of weakness; crying is a sign that you are alive and can feel.

I want you to know they will pick and pull everything they have about you out, and spin them into a web; just be thrown back into your face. They are going to point at you and whisper behind your back. This could be about your clothes, your ethnicity, your identity or your religion. If they see you holding hands with your boyfriend, they will use that as a weak point because for some reason "different" is hardly welcomed. Let me tell you though, be different. I want you to be you and stay true to that person. Be stronger because you ARE stronger. You have it in you to pull through whatever hateful things are done or said to you. When people pick on the “weak” it's because they are ashamed of who they are. They are jealous in a sense that you are able to be stronger and be yourself. You walk down that school hallway, and you hold his hand proudly. Hold it tighter because he might need it more than you. You will not become a victim to their words. I hope you know that some days will be hard but your fight will be harder. It's sad that we feel the need to fight to be ourselves. This is a fight that will never be finished business, but it will be better when you win. You are an incredible person. You aren’t lost you, just have to be found. I know you want to give up, but you’ve got this, and you can pull through. I know this because nine years ago, I was you.

I was the girl that sat alone at lunch. The one who was pulled apart. I was picked on for being adopted, being in a Jewish family and being “different”. I was the punchline to every homophobic joke. There were days I wanted to run away from it all. No one wanted to listen, so I’m here to listen to you. I’m here to tell you that you are better than them. You are unique & strong, and you can overcome this lonely feeling because, you are not alone.

You will overcome this feeling of invisablity. You will come out on top. Right now, things might seem even harder because we are dealing with one of the worlds biggest bullies but, HE is only temporary, and we are forever.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
