You’re probably right in the midst of your own college acceptances, as well as watching your peers commit to the schools of their dreams. You’re also probably panicking because you don’t really have a dream school, or a dream job, or any direction to follow for your future.
No sweat, kid.
Just last night, I had dinner with my good friend Ross, and we laughed about the fact that after the completion of our first semester of college, we still have no clue what we’re doing or where we’re going. Yeah, we have an idea now that we’re able to take non-requisite classes, but we don’t really know much more than what we like and what we are passionate about.
My advice for you is this: don’t worry so much about the big picture if you don’t have one. While you’re still in high school, work on bettering yourself and the skills that you’re passionate about. Do things that make you feel alive and feel good.
Don’t waste your days in anxiety. You never know how many days you have left, so why not spend them doing something you love? I think that should be the goal for all of us – to live each day as if it was our last, and to feel truly alive.
you will eventually have a plan, but for now, live your best life, without comparing it to the lives of those around you.
