To The Guy Who Takes Me On Adventures
Meredith Olsen

To the person who knows all my faults:

Michael, thank you, for being there always. For picking me up when I am down and calming my everlasting anxiety of the unknown future. I know some days I am discouraged with the things I cannot control, but without you I would not know what calm feels like. I am so grateful to have such a loving, caring person by my side always. For listening when I feel like no one else will.

I cannot express the feelings you have brought out in me, I know that no matter what you will always love me and care for me as a person, and that you will always be my cheerleader, good luck charm, and all around my best friend.

To the nights that we stay in:

I am so thankful for your laid-back and going with the flow demeanor, I know that I usually freak out if something goes terribly wrong, so thank you for being the calm one in our relationship, for always being my rock. I am thankful for all the nights we have spent binge-watching The Office, or How I Met Your Mother, because I know we are comfortable enough to do absolutely nothing and be fine in our relationship. Like I always say, as long as I see you and you're there, I am happy.

To the person who will always believe in me:

Michael, I cannot express how truly thankful I am for your everlasting support. We started out in this relationship believing it was just going to be a summer fling after high school, and now look at us, almost three years later and on our way to getting bachelor degrees and pursuing our life's passions. I am so thankful for all the times you have told me I could do something even though I believed I never could. For encouraging me to be a nerd some days, and that you understand you do not always come first in my life.

For all the laughs we share:

I absolutely have never been bored in our relationship, that is one of the things I love about you, is that your humor although very annoying some days is what makes our relationship have a spark and stay fun. I love how I got you hooked on things you hated before we started dating, and how your passion and love for baseball has become a part of my life and my personality. Never in my life did I think I would be thinking about spring training at this time of year, however, you have brought out the inner baseball fanatic in me. No amount of writing or saying of words can do our relationship justice because it is just too priceless to me. All of the memories we have shared since our first date are memories I will always cherish and look back on, and I owe it all to you, for giving me that chance I never even thought I had with you.I am so beyond excited for what our future holds, and I cannot wait to have more adventures with you! I love you babe.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

student thinking about finals in library
StableDiffusion

As this semester wraps up, students can’t help but be stressed about finals. After all, our GPAs depends on these grades! What student isn’t worrying about their finals right now? It’s “goodbye social life, hello library” time from now until the end of finals week.

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!
