Have you ever met that "one boy" that you hit it off with right off the bat? You know that "one boy" that is your absolute best friend? The one that you trust more than any of your girl friends. The one who sticks up for you and acts like your brother. The one that is a locked box whenever you just need someone to talk to. Those are the types of boys that are missing from the world. The boys that every girl dreams of having in their life.

These types of boys are hard to come across because it is very rare to have a male best friend any more. However, it is absolutely to have "him." For me, my best pals are two guys. Two guys that have never left my side through the crazy journey that we call life. Once you find that friend that you trust 100 percent, you are willing to do whatever it takes to keep them by your side.

Guys are more than just a human that we like to date. A male can really be your best friend. Someone that you trust, love, and cherish. So thank you to the guys of this world who are completely fine with having a female as their best friend. For taking us girls in just as we are and for befriending us even though we aren't "one of you." Thank you for being that locked box in our times of need. For being the first one there when something has gone wrong. For showing that you care about me and that you genuinely value our relationship. Words cannot express how thankful we are that we actually have someone to trust. Someone that isn't going to cause drama. Thank you for making me laugh when I needed a good chuckle. Thank you for never ceasing to make me smile on a daily basis.

Girls, value your male friends and treat them with respect. For they truly care about you and you should care about them too. Guys, value your female friends. They will love you forever if you only give them the opportunity to.

Love,

A girl with a guy best friend

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
