To The Guy I End Up Marrying

To the Guy I End Up Marrying:

Whomever you may be, I need you to understand some things about me. There will be the little things like my smile, my laugh, my lame jokes, and my sarcasm that I hope you learn to fall in love with. There will be other things too, not such simple things that will make it hard to love me, but I hope you love me anyways.

When we start start dating, I hope you know how nervous I’ll be for our first couple of dates because if I’m really feeling you, I’ll want them to go perfectly and I know that probably won’t happen. When I start to like you more than I hoped I would, I hope you know I’ll start worrying about you and bothering you and you may get annoyed. When I start to see that you’re catching feelings too, I hope you know that I’ll take that seriously and I don’t expect you to play with my heart because I won’t play with yours. When you start opening up to me about yourself and your family, I hope you understand how scared I’ll be to open up to you because I’ve had a lot of people just leave my life without any warning. When you start to fall in love with me, I hope you tell me and I hope you know not to keep me guessing. If you love me, make it known and use your words too because I can’t read your mind. And I hope you mean it because when I say I love you back, I’ll mean it and it’ll break my heart to find out it was all a lie.

More than anything, I hope we love and we love forever. When you get down on one knee to ask me to marry you, I hope you realize you’re going to get all of me. You’ll get my crankiness in the morning if you’re up before me and I’ll bother you with kisses if I’m up before you. You’ll get my laziness after a long day and you’ll get my mood swings after a bad day. You’ll get to see the shows I’m obsessed with and I’ll probably ignore you whenever they’re on, but I’ll also bother you when one of your shows are on. You’ll get to see sides of me no one else gets to see. You’ll see the good, the bad, the pretty, the ugly, and I hope I get to see all of your sides too.

I’ll make you laugh, I’ll make you happy, and I’ll make you angry, but one thing has to be for sure. There’s one thing that I promise to do and that I hope you promise to do as well and that is we have to love each other. We have to be infatuated like when we were first dating, we have to be bold like when we got comfortable with each other, and we have to be great like how we ended up marrying each other. Our love, in every way that we love, will be strong enough to get through it all.

Sincerely,

The Girl You End Up Marrying

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

Happy Birthday Cake

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
