If Your Mom Is Your Best Friend, You Can Relate To THis

I always say how lucky I am to have the family that I do. Throughout my entire life they have always made sure that I have had everything I have ever wanted, and needed.

But I always feel a little extra lucky, because not only is my family the best, my mom is my best friend.

There are probably a lot of people who feel this way, and can relate to what I'm saying, but I feel so lucky to have my mom as someone I can turn to when times get hard, or share good news to.

With my mom there is no limits on what we talk about, from boys to parties, to everything in between, I always look forward to telling her what's going on in my life and the gossip that goes with it. When something good happens, I immediately cannot wait to tell her, so she can celebrate with me. 100% of the time my best conversations, and the majority of my laughs are shared with my mom and I couldn't be more happy about that.

It's not even just when I have good or bad news to share. I call my mom when I'm walking across campus, driving home, and anytime I find a little moment just to hear her voice, and tell her about how my day is going. I always look forward to talking to her even if it's for two minutes, there's just a comfort in her voice.

My mom is my best friend, and I would choose to spend a night with her over going out, or talking to her first about everything.

I know there are other people who feel this way, and if you do you are a lucky one. There are a lot of stressful things in the world, but all of that can be taken away with a little help from our moms. Especially when she is your best friend as well.

I love you mom, thank you for being you. Always.

On the Upper East Side, Blair Waldorf is an icon. She's what every girl aspires to be. She's beautiful, confident, and can handle any obstacle that life throws at her. Sure, she may just be a television character. But for me, she's a role model and theres a lot that can be learned from Queen B.

We Heart It

Over the past decade, television has undergone a very crucial transition: the incorporation of female lead characters. Since it's a known fact that girls actually do run the world (Beyonce said so herself), it's time for the leading ladies of the small screen to get some credit. Without these characters, women would still be sitting in the background of our favorite shows. These women are not only trailblazers for female empowerment, but role models for women worldwide. With that, here are 15 of the smartest, sassiest ladies gracing our screens that remind us that women do, indeed, rule:
