To The Girl Who's Done Partying

Don't think you're not fun anymore.

There is nothing wrong with ending those weekly nights at the clubs, or heading to the bar almost every night of the week. As someone whose never fully enjoyed all those outings, I'm sure you could say that "I just haven't gone to the right place, or haven't had fun yet." Truthfully, I would say that I actually love spending time at home, and binge-watching my latest show craze, rather than going to a club where you've got a pound of makeup that's now running down your face, in an uncomfortable outfit with a random person breathing down your neck. I would rather enjoy the company of my friends, roommates, or parents coming by. I would rather spend more of my time (and possibly money) on something that will leave more memories and a lasting impact than a night out on the town.

Don't get me wrong, going out with friends is fun, and you can still have those nights or weekends, but it doesn't always have to be the cliche of a club. Going out can be going to a restaurant to catch up with old friends. It can even be going to a bar for a few drinks, but you can also have nights like that at home.

As you get older, you probably won't feel like doing all these things anymore. It's "For the younger generation" but for someone whose in that generation, I'm ready to move on myself. So don't think you're not fun, or cool because you would rather chill at home on a Friday night. Don't make yourself feel like that one friend who doesn't "like to have fun" just because your views on fun are different from those who would rather go clubbing.

Because letting your hair down may not always mean go partying. It can mean you're actually throwing your hair into the highest messy bun, in your sweats on the couch with junk food watching some cheesy show with your friends.

So to the girls who are done with partying, know that you're not alone. Know that there are many of us who don't want those things anymore. There are many of us who want to settle down, move out, and enjoy our own lifestyle.

At the end of the day, you know yourself best.

5 Things To Do That Are Better Than Writing A Paper

Don't waste your time trying to write that paper when there are so many more interesting things you could be doing.

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?

Who could be a better friend than your own sister?

I can barely remember back when I was the only child. Most would say it’s because it is extremely difficult to remember things as a toddler but I would say it's because I was bored until my sister came along. My mother always says how important the "sister bond" is and with every year that passes I realize how right she is. Instead of writing a novel about all of the wonderful things there are about having a sister I decided to list a few of them instead.

It is the time of our lives that we are beginning to enter the adult world and most of us, if not all of us, have no idea what we are doing. It's like starting a video game, but skipping the tutorial. We're all just running around aimlessly hoping we accidentally do something right that moves us along the right path. Now that graduation has just happened, or is right around the corner for some of us, it's time to start thinking about how we are going to take care of ourselves once we are on our own.

If you’re anything like me, you love a good cup of coffee. My coffee always comes from Starbucks; I refuse to drink it from anywhere else. Over the years, it’s become one of my biggest addictions. College involves a whirlwind of emotions, whether it’s from the stress of an assignment (or twenty), or from fighting with your roommate. It can be overwhelming at times and it’s important to take a step a back and calmly think things over. Maybe gain some perspective.
