I promise you that you won't be the first girl my brothers will bring home, sneak in, or tell me about. But you won't be the last. However, before you think you're apart of the family know this I am their big sister and no matter how big they are or old they are, I will ALWAYS have their backs. So let's get acquainted first.

I am their only sister, so believe me when I say I taught them those dumb tricks girls like to do. No matter how much I think you're sweet and adorable, they will always outrank you so they can do no wrong. You may think you hate our mom but you haven't met me, she may make you cry but I will destroy you in all aspects. It's a sister thing, no offense. And you will never be their big sister, so before you think you can say something about me think twice sweetheart. I have more power over them than you ever will, so you may want to stay quiet or they'll show you the door nicer than I will. But to the girls who genuinely like them and aren't using them, here's some words of advice.

1.) They love their family. If you don't get along with us there's a problem, and you may want to leave before you break their hearts and I hear about it.

2.) They have had a hard childhood. So they'll worry and sometimes be clingy, but they weren't through something I couldn't shield them from. Don't get frustrated and yell at them, it'll just upset them more.

3.) If you two fall in love, they both will show you sides that we've come to know. Luke will show you his more compassionate side and Choocie will do the same but in a different way.

4.) They tell me everything. Nobody keeps secrets unless someone had candy that they didn't want to share. So anything you do or say I'll know by that night.

5.) They're best friends and brothers. They are each others' best friends and worst enemies. So do not and I repeat do not pit them against one another. Because they'll destroy you or they'll tell me and your out for the count.

6.) Don't make them do things they don't want to do. Where one will tell you no the other may not, and vice versa. So when you start to date and get serious, do not make my brothers lose what makes them who they are. They won't say no if it makes you happy but know it'll destroy their hearts of gold.

So good luck to whoever they may date and hope you don't break their hearts, or I'll see you very soon.

Sincerely,

Their Super Protective Older Sister.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
