If you've ever felt this way, or if you're feeling it now, this one is for you.

To the girl who compares herself to her boyfriend's ex,

I'm sorry he told you about his ex. I'm sorry you had the urge to look her up on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and all her other social media accounts. I'm sorry you looked back at all of her pictures with him just to see them happy together. I'm sorry you got jealous and your heart dropped down to your stomach when you saw them.

I'm sorry you had to have that jealousy talk with him. I'm sorry he doesn't understand exactly how you feel. I'm sorry you compared your relationship to the one that he once had with her.

I'm sorry you've cried over this. I'm sorry you wasted your time on trying to figure things out about her. I'm sorry you've had multiple arguments about this with your boyfriend. I'm sorry you feel like she's in your relationship. I'm sorry you always have to put on an act when you see her in public. I'm sorry you want to die on the inside every time he's around her again, and I'm sorry you can't do anything about that feeling.

But, ladies, it's time to stop comparing yourself to her. You are gorgeous! You are not his ex. You are his girlfriend whom he loves and adores! You don't need to give her the power to make you feel bad. You don't need to open up a door he closed for a good reason. You are worth more than you think you are to him. He doesn't like her anymore. He chose you for a reason! She is not in his life anymore, so there's no reason for her to be in it again. Why ruin a relationship over her? You are what he wants, or else they'd still be together.

I know when you get to a certain age in the dating world, you probably aren't going to be his "firsts" and it's hard to grasp that feeling. I'm here to tell you it's OK! We all have a past and some baggage, but that doesn't mean we have to carry it on in the next chapter of our lives. It's impossible to change the past no matter how badly we want to. Only you can decide if it's going to dictate the future.

Look in the mirror, smile and say out loud you are a daughter of god and he made you in his image. Therefore, you are incredibly gorgeous.

As crazy as it sounds you should be thankful for his ex because she helped shape him into the man he is today.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
