We both know this isn’t the first time you’ve felt like this. You’ve found yourself here over and over again. Although this keeps happening, that doesn’t make the pain any less painful. It doesn't make you handle this any better. There isn't a way you can prepare yourself to lose someone you love so much. Sure, things may have changed a little but you still could have never imagined things ending like they did. No matter how long the relationship, or how full of passion, love is love. It's always going to feel like a knife to the heart when you know that you've lost it.

Every heartbreak leaves us with open wounds and it’s never something a simple band-aid can fix. The first cuts are usually the deepest of them all. We're only human though. We grow, we learn, we adapt. We do whatever it is that we have to do to survive. We may feel like we're dying on the inside but yet we still put a smile on our faces and act like we really aren't losing our minds.

Moving on can be hard, sometimes, it will feel nearly impossible. For a while you won't be able to go anywhere without seeing something that reminds you of them or reminds you of an old memory. It's going to get worse before it gets better. I’m here to tell you it will get better. You’re going to be able to look at his picture and not cringe. One day you will be able to look back at all of this and smile because you can't read an inbox without a little rain.

You’re going to find someone who finally makes you feel alive again. Time with him will always make you feel like it’s never going to end. You'll be so happy and it'll feel like there wasn't ever really a piece of you missing no matter how deep the cut. He's going to be the one; the one who saves you from yourself. He'll be your guiding light. He may not be exactly what you've dreamed but I promise you he will be exactly what you need. He'll love you like a song that's playing on the radio dial.

One day, you will find the right person. I may not know who that person is yet but I know he is out there. I’m sure whoever your person is isn’t going to come to you without scars of their own, but if it’s true then those scars won’t matter because they’ll just make you love them more for the person who’s conquered so much in life.

Life has so much to offer you right now, don’t let this one person be the reason you aren’t enjoying it. Go out, climb mountains, cross oceans, be happy. Don't go looking for love, love will always find it's way. Love life but more importantly love yourself.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
