To The Girl That Marries My Brother(s)
Everything NYC

Goodluck. Chances are, at first, I won't like you, simply because of the fact I am so protective over my brothers. I am talking, stalk your facebook from 2012 and figure out everything about you before you even meet me. I am a younger sister to one, and older sister to the other and trust me, my RBF is strong, and my stalking skills are stronger.

While I am sure you will be amazing, it might take a while before I realize you are absolutely perfect for my brother because, frankly, he is perfect. From the day I first remember interacting with my brothers, I became protective of them both though I am a younger sister for one of the two. Being the middle child to two boys, I was always very protected... from the boys at school, or the sweet compliments they would say when I was down. LIttle do they know, it goes both ways. Things you need to know about him:

My older brother, Zach, is a natural protector. He deserves respect, and in return will respect you. He likes to experiment when he cooks and he's actually very good at it. Be open to try new things. He snores when he sleeps on his back. If that bothers you, tell him to lay on his side or wake him up if he doesn't wake himself up. He doesn't like feet so unless you're really really special and somehow changes his outlook on them, don't be offended if he doesn't give you a foot rub. If you go to the beach on vacation, he will probably rather lay down and relax on the beach than swim in the ocean. Don't insult or question his intelligence and do laugh at his jokes even if they aren't funny, and make sure you let him pick on you because I filled that role for so many years, he is going to need someone to pick on when i'm not there all the time. Love on him as much as you can and compliment him a lot. He may seem tough on the outside but he is really sensitive like everyone else. When he's angry, or even a little frustrated, don't talk too much. He needs time to cool off before you try and talk about whatever it was. Let him sing as loud as he wants to, and let him be the funny, amazing, hilarious guy he is. Love him like I do. No matter how amazing you are, no one deserves him in my eyes, but chances are, you are the woman God has picked out, and I will love you too.

My younger brother, Alek, has high aspirations and goals for his life, he always has ever since he was little. He is more intelligent than I could imagine being, so don't let that intimidate you if you don't understand something he is saying. Alek is very sarcastic by nature, and that gives him personality and character. Alek is strong-willed and knows what he wants, and when his mind is made up, it usually can't be changed so don't try. He is a cuddler, and secretly likes all the hugs and snuggles I forced upon him growing up. He is goofy, let him be goofy. Let him be himself and don't you dare change him, because he is special and an amazing young man. Don't turn off his xbox or computer if you want his attention, or worse, interrupt him while he is busy. Try to refrain from vacations to a beach unless its California, California seems to have a very special place in his heart. I will be protective of him, he will always be my baby brother, and one day when I meet you, dislike you for the fact you have a piece of my little brothers heart, then realize you're not half bad, I will learn to love you as well.

One day I will be your sister-in-law, and as intimidating as that may be after reading this, don't be nervous. All I want is for two extremely special people in my life to be treated as well as I hope for them to be treated, and to have a love they have always imagined. I won't hate you forever.... just for a little bit ;)

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
