Picture this: It's midday, the sky just got very dark out of nowhere. The clouds are black almost, and thunder starts to rumble. It gets louder and louder, and it feels like it is shaking your house. The lightning starts and the strikes seem to get closer and closer to you, and it feels like you can almost touch them. Now here comes the rain, the flood, the rushing roaring waters...
This storm could be a metaphor for what is happening in your life right now
The dark sky could represent depression you are facing, and the roaring rainstorm could be your tears. The thunder that shakes you could be something tough that you are going through, and it is so hard that it feels like it is going to make you crumble. The lightning could be something that keeps striking you in your day to day life that is keeping you down.
Life is tough, and we all go through storms, and hard times. It seems like it will never end, and that you will be stuck in the middle of the storm forever.
Weather storms are wild and rough, but they will always come to an end. The clouds will turn light and fluffy again, the thunder will be silenced, the lightning will cease, and the rain will stop falling. The sun will come out again, and warm and cheery weather will follow.
After the worst and most terrible and horrific storms will come the rainbow. Rainbows are beautiful and have multiple colors. They represent happiness and cheer. Rainbows come after the worst storms to remind us that bad weather doesn't last forever, and the sun will come out again.
Just like the weather storm will come to an end, so will the storm you are going through in your day to day life. I know it feels like you will be stuck in this forever, and that the sun will never shine over you again, but it will I promise you.
I heard somewhere that maybe rainbows only happen after terrible storms to remind us that you have to experience a storm before you can appreciate the true beauty of the sun and rainbows.
So maybe this life storm you are going through is happening to make you appreciate the good, or sunny, times in your life way more than you would if you never experienced turmoil.
The rainbow will come you just have to look for it.
