There's a special place in my heart for the beautiful people that I would have never had the opportunity to meet if I hadn't decided to uproot and begin my studies away from home. Even though we come from all walks of life we somehow manage to make the most loving and dysfunctional group of friends that I could have ever hoped for. I have a few very important things to thank you all for as I take a moment to reflect on the importance you play at this point in my life.
Thank you for being my unofficial roommates and never letting me be or feel alone in a city that wasn't my own.
Thank you for gracing me with girls' nights that were sometimes the only thing I had to look forward to during the seemingly endless and stressful days sitting through class.
Thank you for spamming our group message daily with hilariously relatable memes and recollections of the nights before in the form of screenshot Snapchats.
Thank you for drinking pots of coffee at 10 p.m. with me just to cram (and cry) together about the impending doom of tomorrow's exam.
Thank you for running errands with me and never saying no to half off apps at Applebees even when we should be doing something responsible and productive instead.
Thank you for listening to me reevaluate my life every day and holding deep conversations about what we want for our future: growth, graduation, love, careers and everything in between.
Thank you for filling my life with so much laughter and making my college experience so significant.
We may not have the history that I hold with my childhood best friends, but you will always be at the forefront of my memories when I reflect on my college years — a chunk of time dedicated entirely to us and our ridiculous late-night, spontaneous and often alcohol induced antics. And for that honor, I will never be able to thank you enough. I love you.
