There are so many exciting things to look forward to but what no one tells you and something you may not want anyone to know is that you're also sad. As you're packing up your childhood bedroom, saying goodbye to your friends, and basically saying goodbye to the only life you've known for years to move to a random place, to move in with a person you possibly just met or have never lived with. You have a right to be sad, there are many unknowns.

There is no right or wrong way to feel in this situation.

Let's make a plan to make the most of freshman year, never say no, go out and have fun but study hard. As you pack up your whole life be thankful that you are allowed to have this opportunity and be able to leave your family to make the most of your life. Focus on getting to know your roommate and professors, meet new people. Live and love life, let nothing stop you.
