Now when I say cringe, there are a few criteria to get onto the cringe scale. What even classifies a cringe movie anyway? There are so many variables that go into a "cringe" movie. Typically, cringe movies are associated with multiple "reasons" a.k.a. opinions as to why they're considered cringe. How many times can I say cringe without becoming repetitive? Let's find out.
Number one, the acting almost always sucks. Now don't take this the wrong way, the actor playing the part may be fantastic, but sometimes the writing just isn't good or the character isn't good for the actor.
Robert Pattinson for example, he's a great actor, but in Twilight he was not at his best. Same with Kristen Stewart, and the funny thing is, they both knew how terrible it was and still tried to make the best of it. If you ever have the time, go watch some of their (specifically his) interviews during their Twilight time. It's fantastic.
Number two, the plot is cheesy as heck. Titanic, for example, how in the WORLD did they fall in love in like a week? They met, they saw, they danced, they kissed, and BAM, he's the love of her life forever. Even though this movie is a total classic of life, does not mean it can't be cheesy.
I know I only really made two points here but I haven't been able to English well for the past few days so I'm struggling. I think I'm just gonna list some movies for ya down here with gifs. Enjoy.
