College. The time where we all are supposed to grow up, find our "people," get involved in everything possible and oh, don't forget ace all your classes. College is supposed to be our time to "live," yet, we spend it running around trying to figure out how to adult. PSA: we aren't adults yet!

To the college kid who needs a pick-me-up, you're going to make mistakes and it is going to be ok. It's inevitable, you're going to get a bad quiz/test score, but focus on the ones that you did great on. You're going to fight with your roommate; emotions run high in college, just remember they're struggling too. You'll probably sleep through your alarm a miss a class that you really should've gone to, missing one class won't kill you. College is about learning new things and trying out new experiences, don't let the fear of failure keep you from the opportunities in front of you. This is the best time to make mistakes, so do it.

Here's the thing, take the time to absorb the greatness that is around you before it's too late. We are constantly hearing, "you'll blink and it's over," so don't blink. (Well, you know what I mean). Give yourself a break and actually take time to focus on the good, not just the "mistakes." Give yourself a pick-me-up and always say yes to sonic runs, never turn down a chance to go out with your best friends and let that cute boy take you on a date. College is supposed to be the best years of your life; let yourself love it.

"I can do all things through God, who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?
