Believe it or not, you guys are almost there. You're getting accepted into the colleges you applied to, and deciding on where your next chapter will be. You're almost at the time of midterm grades, fourth quarter, and when senioritis truly kicks in. From this point on, time flies faster than you think it will. However, that doesn't mean to slack off and start rushing each day away. Finish your high school career stronger than ever, and make the most out of every single last day you have.
Don't take for granted your final days of off campus privileges, spontaneous car rides with your best friends, and the sporting events. Take the time to appreciate the teachers who have witnessed you grow from freshman up until senior year. Appreciate the advice and critique your teachers have offered you, because it will help in the long run. Finish strong on your finals, regardless of the thought of graduating days later.
The time between May and June is the most exciting, so make every moment count. All that will be running through your head is "Prom, senior picnic, graduation" and all of the little things in between such as award ceremonies, senior nights, etc. It will seem a bit overwhelming, but it's the best part of the year, believe me. Take plenty of pictures at prom, and try not to burn yourself at senior picnic (if it's before prom of course). Make the last time getting ready with your best friends, and picking which house to take pictures at, the most memorable. Sadly enough, it will be the last time dancing on the dance floor with your closest friends who have stuck with you the past four years, so don't leave early and dance all night.
Lastly, when graduation is right around the corner, don't blink. Don't miss out on taking a good look around the room with all of your fellow classmates being together as a whole for the last, final time. Walk up that stage and think to yourself " I finally did it" because you did, and it's one of the most rewarding days of your lives. Even though you're done with one chapter, and it's emotional, be excited to start the next journey with no looking back. Best of luck, Class of 2017!
