To the Boy Who Didn’t “Love” Me, Thank You.

To the one I trusted with all my heart.

I thank you for showing me what real trust is,

Because it didn't come from you.

To the one I thought I couldn't live without.

I thank you for making me realize my life doesn't revolve around you.

And I still have the ability to love, live, & breathe without you in it.

To the one who said they would never hurt me.

I thank you for leaving the marks you made on me physically and mentally.

Because, now I am stronger and capable of overcoming any obstacle or pain that comes my way.

To the one who I almost had a child with.

I thank you for abandoning me.

Because it really showed how “great" of a father you would've been.

To the one I thought I would marry someday..

I thank you for showing me what a REAL man is.

And that was NOT you.

I thank you for all the shit you put me through.

I thank you for making me go crazy.

I thank you for making me go into depression.

I thank you for almost taking over my life.

Because without you, I wouldn't be where I am today.

Without you, I wouldn't have a man who I trust with my life knowing he trusts me equally.

Without you, I wouldn't have a man who not only can I not live without, but he can't live without me as well.

Without you, I wouldn't have a man who brings out happiness and laughter, rather than to hurt me and bring me down.

Without you, I wouldn't know what a blessing it will be someday for my child to have a father who actually cares and will be there for them.

Without you, I wouldn't be marrying the man of my dreams and being able to grow old together.

I thank you most of all for putting me through misery after all this time. Because knowing what could've been a living hell, is actually going to be an everlasting love.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
