To The Boy That Almost Was

All the "what ifs" and all the "maybes" are sometimes too much to think about.

You were there for everything.

You were there for all the sleepless nights and tears and big news moments and milestones. You've seen me at my lowest lows and my highest highs.

I can't thank you enough for everything that you've done for me. You've seen me grow and helped mold me into the woman that I am today.

I just wished things worked out for us. It gets me so frustrated to think about all the obstacles and factors that kept us from being together. There have been many days and nights that I spent thinking about how perfect everything would be if it were just you and me. We would be so happy and who knows, it could have been a forever story.

All the maybes and what ifs that always plagued our conversations were so bittersweet. On one hand it was so nice to just create this alternate ending of our lives together but on the other hand, it hurt me to know that it might not happen anytime soon or even at all.

Thank you for being the guy I turn to for anything and everything from school stresses to friend drama. I find so much comfort in you and your presence and that means everything to me. I honestly can't picture my life without you.

You have provided me with laughs and memories that are irreplaceable.

I don't know what the future holds for us but I hope that whatever it is, that we're both happy, even if it may not be with each other.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
