To Sit Or Stand?

Why is it bad that Colin Kaepernick wants to sit in order to stand up for his rights? This is the 21st century, people. And with the things that have been going on in the US, he has a reason to take a stand.

With all the shootings, injustice and senseless crimes that have been occurring lately, Kaepernick has the right to kneel, sit, squat or whatever he would like to do in order to show his viewpoint and stand up for the voiceless. Lebron James, Chris Paul, Dwyane Wade and Carmelo Anthony chose to voice their opinion at the ESPYs and the fans loved it. They thought that they were doing a great service standing up for the people that were not able to stand up for themselves. So what is the difference? Because the veterans argument is not even an argument.

Now others like Jeremy Lane and Kaepernick's teammate Eric Reid are joining him. I am curious as to how long this headline is going to be a headline before they find something else to talk about. The bottom line is, we the people have freedom of speech and we have the right to stand up for what we believe in any way we see fit (as long as the law is not broken).
