There is no question about it, Meredith Grey and Cristina Yang have a friendship that is envied by many. They have set the “best friend" bar high, never failing to be by the other's side. Meredith and Cristina refer to each other as their “person."
A person is someone who is there through thick and thin. They can always count on you and you can always count on them. It is a friend who will not judge your deepest, darkest secrets, and who you can trust to keep them safe. A person is someone to call your best friend, and I am glad to not have one.

Instead of having a person, I have people.I am very fortunate to be surrounded by so many wonderful friends. I consider having multiple best friends so much greater than just having one.
You get multiple honest opinions about the outfit you are planning to wear. It never hurts to get a second opinion, or a third. While you may think orange is totally your color, your friends will be the first to suggest you try out something new. Multiple friends bring multiple opinions and suggestions! If you are ever stuck on a decision, having more than one idea is great.
Group texts. When you are in need of instant response, the group text is the way to go. The chance of everyone being busy at the same time is slim, and you can be sure to get texts back, fast. Even at the oddest hours of the day, the group text is probably buzzing and your best friends are just a few clicks away.
You have more than one set of parents. And your parents have more children than they might have thought. My best friends are a part of my family, and all of their families are like my own. It is such a good feeling to have multiple loving relationships and multiple sets of moms and dads to get advice from.
There is always someone to get ice cream. When there is a crisis, one of your best friends is bound to be available to go to the nearest ice cream shop to talk it out. Having a support system for life is important, and as mine grows, I find that I am happier than ever.
You can go through life together. All of the laughter we share and the memories we make is such a big part of who we are. All of my “people" make each day so special, and I am forever grateful for each friendship. Doing life together is so much fun.
