To My Younger Siblings, You're Welcome...
Ashley Denton

Hey little sis, hey little bro, come here let me tell you something….

You're welcome, there ya go! That's right you're welcome, no need to thank me. That must mean I've done a good job. Mom and dad are all broken in for you. It only took 21 years, but hey! Better late than never, right?

Oh, you have no clue how lucky you two are! You get to get away with stuff I would have never even thought about doing because if I did, I'd be the one DEAD! That's right D.E.A.D, dead in the ground, buried, dead! But hey, what do you expect with the title "the oldest child"? I mean it, I guess it comes with the territory, even though I don't agree with it and it's TOTALLY not fair but hey, I'm not bitter… A bit jealous you could say, but totally not bitter.

You get to come home whenever you want; want to go out with friends until 2 AM? Sure, why not? There's nothing stopping you! You see, if that was me (and yes even at 18), I had to be home by 10 and if I wasn't, a search party was sent, my phone would be blowing up, and as I said earlier, I would have been dead!

Being 17 and having your license must be nice seeing as I had to wait until I was 18… But, you know, once mom and dad saw how having children who can drive themselves places on their own was more convenient, it was suddenly ok to get your license at 17. I wish they realized this when I was 16 and 17.

When it came to dating... Psshhh, wish I got to go camping with my boyfriends family when I was 15, but NOOOO, that was seriously frowned upon! Having a social life at the age of 12 back in middle school consisted of sleepovers, extracurricular activities, and school… Going to the mall with friends - WITHOUT A PARENT - was UNHEARD OF! That wasn't even an option but you know, when it came to child number three, having a smartphone in sixth-grade and going to the mall with friends is totally OK now, but you know I'm totally not bitter.

So you guys, I know it hasn't come out yet, but I know it's coming soooo! YOU'RE WELCOME for being mom and dads little guinea pig a.k.a "The Tester Child" I hope I broke them in for you guys pretty well! Now go enjoy the freedom I never got, I'll just live vicariously through you two!

Love Always, Your Big Sister

The Post Thanksgiving Panic And Anxiety

It happens to all of us, the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas the catch up with you.

Thanksgiving Break is most likely everyone’s favorite break during the fall semester. You get to go home and reminisce with all your high school friends. That diet you’ve been on for the past month goes out the window, and you get to eat until you put yourself into a food coma. There’s no rush on homework and you can just lie in bed and Netflix to your heart’s content. To me that sounds like an ideally wonderful break, and totally stress-free.

Grey's Anatomy

Even Shonda Rhimes, winning creator and executive producer of the hit TV shows Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder, and The Catch agrees that relationships with fictional characters are real. In her book, The Year of Yes she states, "I have spent more time with Meredith and Christina then many of my actual friends...When you watched TV, even spending a full hour with Christina once a week, you were likely spending more time with her then you spent with most people in your life. That relationship was real."

Going to the gym and working out on a daily basis (with breaks once in awhile) has been a great way for me to feel good about myself. It is 100% more than just looking good. Especially after starting college and having the stress and anxiety of tests, assignments, and just figuring out my future, the gym at my school has definitely been a place of relief for me and I have numerous reasons of why everyone should push themselves to get to the gym when they can.
